Festival Bon Odori

Festival Bon Odori – Obon (お 盆) or Bon (盆) is the custom of Japanese Buddhists to honor their ancestral spirits but with the passage of time this ritual turns into a gathering of families to return to their ancestral home or clear their ancestral tombs. This activity has been going on for more than 500 years, this activity also there is a traditional dance known as Bon-Odori.

Bon Odori Festival was my first destination when I arrived in Malaysia (20/9), at Panasonic Square, Shah Alam, Kuala Lumpur. Gathering thousands of Malaysian youth from various ethnic, Malay, Chinese, Indian, Japanese and hundreds of foreign tourists spilled with sprinkling rain over the grass field, they were seen enthusiastically following the rhythm of the Japanese song and dance Bon-Odori. Do not forget berbimimacam booth that sells food and trinkets typical japan also down enliven the annual event.

Unfortunately I could not attend the event until it was finished because I had to take care of the lodging during my stay in Malaysia.
